I've Been Tagged

My baby girl tagged me...what in the h*#ll does that mean? She says I have to list 10 random things about myself, so I'll do my best.

1. While moving to another a house in California, I hid in my closet and ate a hostess pie. When my dad found me in the closet, he just shook his head and shut the door. I was somewhat humiliated. These days, I eat in public.

2. Being the oldest sister, I felt it my duty to keep track of my siblings. After a post -prom party, I insisted that my sister and I go home together. After some choice words, she agreed to accompany me home. As soon as we hit the front yard, it was WWF in prom dresses.

3. I've drank toilet water....no details needed.

4. The first meal I cooked my husband was a cheeseburger. While serving him it slipped off the spatula and across the kitchen floor. I was horrified. He looked at the cheeseburger, picked it up, and ate it. He's always said my floors were clean enough to eat off of since then.

5. This may seem out of character, but I hitchhiked once. It landed me in juvenile hall. I wouldn't tell the officer my name because I didn't want my parents to come and get me. To this day, I hate small rooms and the color yellow.

6. I was the Class A spelling champ of Belknap Elementary. I still have the trophy to prove it.

7. I'm the mother of six beautiful children, two of which I left at Crisps Market. It was hard to keep track of the kids, but I didn't forget my groceries.

8. I stalked my husband for two years before he finally came to his senses and married me.

9. I love Leave it to Beaver and the Andy Griffiths Show.

10. I know I'm too old, but I want to be a contestant on American Idol.

Computer sTeWpiD, and excited to start!!

No really, I am computer stupid and really excited about blogging. My girls talked me into doing this so I'm giving it a try. Where to begin? Me, I'm DeAnn. I'm an empty nester who likes to stay at home and play with my most adorable grandkids - seven of them and one on the way. My hubby Rooster is an engineer for the railroad and he loves to hunt and play with the grandkids also. We are really enjoying spending time together now that all six kids are out of the house. Who knew it would be such a blast? As you can tell from the picture, I have the cutest grandbabies ever and you might get sick of hearing about them as they're my pride and joy. We have little Kendra and mommy living with us now. What a joy they are to have here. I love getting up in the morning to such a happy little stinker. Seriously, all she does is smile! Anyway, I'll do my best to keep you updated and try hard not to embarass my children. NOT!
