REMEMBER WHEN...

Anyone who wants to play... This is Fun!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember--it can be funny, weird, awkward, random, etc.!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you

I also remember the first night we met. That was a horrible night. And while your son and his friends did drink my friends and me were totally sober and embaressed. Especially when you had to come tow the Blazer out of a canyon in the middle of nowhere. Then you let us all wash our feet in your bath tub cause us city girls didn't see why we couldn't wear flip flops up in the mountains.

Don't want to get too sappy, but you were a pretty awesome mom. I remember having read-a-thons at school. You would take us to the store and load us up w/ all sorts of junk. You were my 4-H leader and braved the camping w/ all my friends, but you weren't so brave when it came to the moth :) When I got older, you would sleep on the couch while Dustin and I made out on the floor. I guess you though we were watching the movie. And I can't forget the good times when I was in labor w/ Jase. I mean, just how did that elephant get into my delivery room?!

Well, here goes...first I want to say I have the greatest most precious daughter anyone could ask for!
Now!!! I remember the time when DeAnn and Laurie got into a fight, up on the steet corner. They were wearing their long dresses(formals), were on the ground wrestling and having a knock down drag out! You will have to ask DeDe what they were fighting over!
Then, there was the time when we lived in Salt Lake. I wasn't home..they invited the little neighbor girls over. They just had to get even with them for doing something..can't remember
what....but they mixed up coolaid punch with lots of sugar and poured it into the neighbor girls hair! Oh! what a sticky mess those little girls were and my kitchen too!
Another one! Love this one!
I was driving by the grade school. It was recess time and to my wondering eyes did appear, but my beautiful little girl!!!...wearing my black panty hose, black high heels, my best black vest suit, and blouse! and as I recall my jewery. She thought she was really hot and so did her little classmates! It was quite a sight! I made her get in the car and took her home to change clothes.
Just one more, DeDe was a very interesting child!!!! She wanted to dye her hair like her friends down the block. Now, her mom being a beautician... she ask me to do it. I told her no, that the black color would not fit her skin
tone, as her friend was
spanish...you must now know what happened then. She went to the store and when I came from work I found my daughter with the darkest Jet Black hair ever! She was crying and wanted me to fix it! It was so hard not to....but I needed her to learn a lesson from it! I fixed it after 3 days because she skipped school, after I left for work. She didn't want anyone to see her! She never dyed her hair again until she was married with children, and never black!!!!
I can think of lots of other stuff!
Well just one more sweet tidbit... my children always took good care of their mom. I owned a beauty shop about 3 blocks from home and worked many hours. They would bake me a cake, sometimes they didn't have all the ingredients, but they would put it on a plate and would bring it to me at work. There were many other things like this one, they did for their mom and I can think of so many other precious memories!
Love my kids!
Your Mommy

So many to choose from . . . hanging sheetrock in the storage room, driving all six of us kids to Winnemucca in the single cab truck (I don't remember remember being squished, either), all the times you dressed up for Halloween. But my favorite times were when we were little girls and you would let us pull out the couch bed and watch movies late at night when Dad was at work. You have always been such a fun mom. I have too many memories to write about. Love you!

Mom, remember when we were just in Cedar & you were in a huge hurry to get home. Not only was it absolutley necessary that we stop and get a diet coke but then you lost your phone. Funny that we drove all the way back to Lynette's only to find it under your bumm. Might seem funny to some people but to me it's just another day with you!!

I remember the other day when you were going to Cedar City and you said you were in a hurry to get home so that you could blog. What happened to that plan? Not funny, Mom. We are all waiting and stalking in hopes that you will post something new by the end of the year.

Remember when...you thought you'd pour a pitcher of cold water over the shower curtain on me? But you fell off the toilet into the shower tearing down the curtain rod & knocking everything off the walls to land in the bottom of the tub under the running water. The joke was on you...remember?

The very first thing that I remember about you is when I visited the second ward and Brandon was talking to you and he told me that you were his seminary teacher. Another thing that I remember is going out to you house and asking if you sew and you said not very good. I asked you to make a pirate sash for Makenna's cotume and you came out with it and it looked really good. You don't give yourself enough credit. It worked and looked great.
